Fishing report 9/1/26

Hey everyone, fall is nearly here! Have a lot to look forward to as we start to get these cooler nights. The stripers will start pushing out of the river pretty soon which will help the fishing in the lower sections. The trout bite should be very solid for the next few months, as well as the smallmouth bite as the water temp cools down a bit on the holston. Having to get on the water at day break won’t be as important once we get closer to October. Once the stripers start feeding aggressively near the surface on the lake I will start taking clients out there to chase them. It is a very fun bite, and one we can do with either fly or conventional (typically we will have both on the boat just in case). I can’t reccomend that experience enough, it’s the closest thing to saltwater fishing you’ll find this far inland. Will be available late fall and all winter, give me a call if interested in booking a trip still have some dates available Oct-Dec! 704-773-4497
